Rotary Club of Ibadan-Jericho Metro was admitted into the membership of Rotary International on the 10th of April 2012. With 26 solid business and professional men and women, the club was chartered.
Since 2012, Ibadan-Jericho Metro has been growing in leaps and bounds. It was conceived as a Model club that would eventually metamorphose into a mega club.
The club has put in place a 5year Strategic Plan that would guide its decisions and actions and has been reviewed from time to time to ensure these best practices are sustained.
MISSION STATEMENTS
We have decided to adopt the elements of a Vibrant Club as our Club’s mission with a few additions.
Our Mission as a Club is to be both EFFECTIVE and VIBRANT. In this regard, our Mission Statements are as follows:
- To creatively attract young professionals from diverse businesses and professions into the membership of our Club.
- To pro-actively ensure membership is retained through dynamic club service activities.
- To consistently affect and impact our communities through the implementation of life-changing service projects that are very relevant to such communities.
- To deliberately be a Rotary Foundation supporting Club both in Programs participation and financial contribution.
- To consciously ensure our members engage in Rotary as leaders at the Club, District, and International levels.
- To develop and foster friendships and long lasting relationships among members.
ANNUAL GOALS
- Service Projects – to successfully implement the execution of at least 5 local community service projects and 1 International community project within every Rotary year starting from 2020-2021.
- Membership Growth – to increase membership every year by at least 30% (15 new members) starting from 2020-2021, and also to ensure 100% membership retention.
- Leadership Development & Training – to ensure 100% participation of the club’s leadership team in all District training programs and Rotary Leadership Institute’s trainings through enacting of relevant policies that will make attendance at such programs easy for members.
- Rotary Foundation Funding and Programs – to participate actively in Rotary Foundation programs including Global grants for international service projects.
- EVERY ROTARIAN EVERY YEAR – to achieve and sustain 100% E.R.E.Y. status for the club.
- PAUL HARRIS Fellowship Award – to achieve and sustain 100% PH Club Status.
